Change Management is Broken!

This was the subject for a thought provoking breakfast seminar last Friday for a motivated audience of over 60 people at the RACV Club in Melbourne as keen as I am on the subject of organisational change management in the modern organisation.

I was pleased to welcome an eclectic mix of interesting people including Change Leaders, Practitioners and Consultants, Human Resources professionals and Program Managers from many different types of industry backgrounds.

I presented why I believe that today we need to focus on building resilience to change as opposed to managing resistance, and the steps that leaders of change and organisations need to take in order to not only survive, but thrive in a world in which constant change is the new black.

The recognition that people are the key to successful change and without supporting them properly, your efforts will be in vain resonated strongly with the audience and prompted much debate and discussion.

The details behind my thoughts on change management are based on my vast experience of working with everyone from blue chip companies to public sector organisations. I have an inherent interest in people and how if they are developed and supported they will add so much value. My observations are contained within my published posts on my website and there are others coming soon.

You can read more here.

I am excited to announce that mid-April, I will be running an in depth 2-day workshop in Melbourne in which I will cover the key roles we need in organisational change management, how we build resilience to change and the way in which organisational change management needs to adapt to a world in which change is constant, volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous.

There was a lot of interest in the workshop and many have already registered an expression of interest.

When I open registrations, as an introductory offer, the first five confirmed registrations will receive a 2 for 1 deal, meaning they will be able to bring along a colleague for free! I am keen to help as many people as possible be amazing at successful change management!

Subscribe to my posts to find out when the dates and location are confirmed, or you can register an expression of interest by emailing my Practice Manager - Breed Barrett.
